Picture One Hundred and Thirty-Six
Andrew standing underneath the truly astonishing Ghent Hangt - the largest Hanging Basket the world has ever ever seen (10.5 metres across!!).
The giant umbrella behind him was quite necessary as water continuously pours from under the basket which can also be viewed from above by climbing up a large scaffolding structure (a lift takes you up to a walkway).
Andrew was lucky enough to see this structure on his visit to Ghent - it may not ever be there again! The day was 6th September 2000 and this picture was taken by a Dutch (I think) tourist.
To read more about Andrew's trip to Ghent, see Travel Pages: Belgium.
Other photos from Andrew's Belgian trip can be seen at Pictures Fourteen, Thirty-One, Thirty-Eight, Fifty-Six, Sixty-Seven, 107 and 110.
