STIRLING

AIRTH

The county of Stirlingshire is right in the middle of the "Central Belt" of Scotland, at the heart of the history of the nation. It is dominated by the Forth River Valley and is often called the Gateway to the Highlands. As such Stirlingshire sits firmly in the top tourist areas of Scotland. Amongst its towns and cities are Stirling itself, and Falkirk home of the Kelpies.

It has a large number of Castles, but the most famous and spectacular is Stirling Caslte itself, the Key to Scotland.
