CASTLES OF SHETLAND

At present we haven't visited any Castles in this County.

Map of Shetland

The Shetland Islands, far north east of the Scottish Mainland are the most northerly part of the British Isles. The landscape is rugged and dramatic with high seacliffs and a history that is almost as much Viking as it is Scottish. The main settlement on Shetland is Letwick.

Olny a relatively few Castles stand on the islands, including the most northerly Castle in the UK, Muness Castle on the island of Unst.
