A Moment's Reflection on Life

It feels like peering
Through a pin-hole punched in paper
At something wide and complex
Of which you can only see part
But that is life and that is love
And we have to carry on.

We all look around
To see the journey we must travel
For a road map to find the way
As if we have a destination
But it is nowhere we are going
And we have to carry on.

So we find our faith
In our gods or in our loved ones
And we offer them succour
In return for the same
And we live life as it happens
As we have to carry on.
