Map of Peeblesshire

BLACK BARONY

NEIDPATH

The smallest of the Scottish Border Counties, Peeblesshire sits south of Edinburgh and is one of the least built up counties in the south of the country. The main town is Peebles itself, along with Innerleithen and North Linton. Like much of the Borders it is defined by the River Tweed which winds its way through the county.

It is largely rural and hilly and for its size has a large number of Castles, although many of these take the form of pele towers, in a similar way to other border areas.
