MID-HOWE BROCH
The
Orkney Isles sit off the north east tip of Scotland. They have their
own culture and history that is both related and separate to the
mainland. The main settlement on Orkney is Kirkwall with Stromness
being the only other town of any size. The islands are dramatic and
historic with famous sights such as Skara Brae and the Ring of Brodgar,
plus natural landscapes such as the Old Man of Hoy and Scapa Flow.
A number of Castles are dotted around the islands.
