
CASTLES
OF MORAYSHIRE
At present we haven't visited any Castles in this County.
Morayshire is the central of the three Moray Firth counties in North East Scotland. It is hilly inland with a more gentle coastal plain. This is whisky country and the River Spey (which it shares with neighbouring Banffshire) is home to the largest concentration of distilleries anywhere in the World. The county has an alternative name of Elginshire, named after Elgin town. Other towns inclulde Lossiemouth, Dufftown and Forres.
