DUNSTALL CASTLE
Worcestershire
This bizarre construction was built around 1766 to be seen from Croome Court nearby, as an 'eyecatcher' type folly. It is supposed to be a "ruined Castle", hence it's name, although its structure is a kind of weird hybrid of Castle and Abbey.
Whatever, it is a large building and cannot fail to impress with its oddity, particularly as it now stands on the edge of Dunstall Common isolated from, seemingly, anything.
