Map of Banffshire

FINDLATER

Banffshire, along with Nairnshire and Morayshire, is one of the three relatively small counties that run inland from the Moray Firth at the eastern end of the Great Glen. Banffshire is the easternmost county, bordering Aberdeenshire, it is also the largest of the three, long and thing snaking in from the coast line. The county is sparsely populated with Banff being the only major size town.

Like most of North East Scotland, there are a lot of Castles in the area, the best known perhaps being the Castle of Park.
