The county of Aberdeenshire is in the North East of Scotland with a North Sea Coast centred on Aberdeen City and goes inland along the Dee Valley. It is famously packed full of Castles of various kinds including such famous buildings as Balmoral, Braemar, Craigievar and Slains to name but a few.
The landscape is typically mountainous inland and full of precipitous cliff landscapes along the coast.
