Gibraltar

Gibraltar has been a British possession for many centuries, which has been a constant bone of contention with the Spanish who claim the peninsula for their own.
It is cited at the strategic "Pillars of Hercules" which mark the only opening to the Meditteranean Sea. A large part of the territory is taken up by the Royal Navy's base.
Gibraltar is famed for its distinctive Rock and for the only native European apes which stroll the Rock and, increasingly, the City down below.
