The little Isle of Wight, the other side of the Solent from Hampshire, is now a county in its own right, although traditionally it is part of Hampshire.

The landscape is one of rolling downland and beautiful historic towns such as Shanklin and Cowes, the home of the Royal Yacht Squadron.
