Suffolk is a land of flat creeks and harsh heathland, only becoming more arable as you head inland.  The network of river estuaries making the ground too salty on the ever-eroding coast.  It is a county almost untouched by heavy industry save for the twin scars of Ipswich and Sizewell Power Station.  Suffolk also contains England's most easterly point, at Lowestoft.

It would be very poor Castle hunting territory indeed if it weren't for the pairing of Framlingham and Orford, the latter built to counter-act the former, two of the very best examples of their kind in the country.
