The county of Somerset is one of the three counties of Wessex (along with Dorset and Wiltshire). It's landscape is divided into three very definite areas, from east to west, the Quantock Hills, the Somerset Levels and Exmoor.
Somerset's Castles are an erratic and strange bunch. From genuine medieval Castles like Dunster and Farleigh Hungerford to oddities like The Black Castle in Bristol and Banwell near Weston-super-Mare. Not forgetting the most likely candidate for King Arthur's Camelot, the hillfort at Cadbury.
