Although South Africa has emerged at last from the shadow of Apartheid, it is still gripped by civil strife and frequent outbreaks of violence.

This doesn't stop it being one of the most beautiful countries in Africa with some superb Game Parks in the North and unique Cape Town in the far south. The capital is Pretoria in the north.

Tammy, Roy's fiance at the time of his visit, is from South Africa.
