CASTLES OF MONTGOMERYSHIRE
At present we haven't visited any Castles in this county
Montgomeryshire is the top part of modern Powys. Like Radnorshire a lot of the county is remote and hard to get around, and so not many Castles have been built in its borders. A scattering exist along the English border, including that in the county town of Montgomery.
The only two towns of any great size are Montgomery and Welshpool, both near the English border, as you head westward you hit the barrier of the Cambrian Mountains and few roads cross them to reach the coast.
