Latvia is the central one of the three "Baltic States" with Estonia to the north and Lithuania to the south. It is also the least known of the three. Whilst Estonia has its links with Finland and Lithuania with Poland, Latvia has always been something of an enigma in the middle.
The capital city is

ga which sits at the mouth a wide bay of the Baltic Sea and is
the largest city in the Baltic region.
