In Jennifers eyes
I see a thousand starlings wings
Glinting in the morning sunrise
I see a darkness, deep and warm
Pulling me in
Keeping me from harm
I see a safe harbour from the storm
In Jennifers eyes.
In Jennifers eyes
Are all the patterns of life
Black on black and tinged with light
The answers to all the questions
I keep asking
As I lay awake at night
I see the way ahead and the way back
In Jennifers eyes.
In Jennifers eyes
There is a barmy summer night
A day in the forest away from fright
Breathing in the scent of pine
A walk by the sea
All those things we do
To make life a pleasure to endure
In Jennifers eyes.
In Jennifers eyes
It is always a silent sunrise
Shadows play across a morning sky
Imparts a warmth I never knew
And need to know
If only they looked at me
The way I look into them
In Jennifers eyes.
In Jennifers eyes
I could get lost for days
And not care where I wandered
I see all I want reflected back to me
When I look there
In the dark and lovely depths
I can see all there is to see
In Jennifers eyes.
