HARVEY VISITS THE VEE-EEE-TEE

Harvey opened a cautious eye
When his humans mentioned his name
They’d talked about him before
But this didn’t feel quite the same.

"I think the time has come" one said
"To take Harvey to the Vee-Eee-Tee"
Harvey perked up at the sound of this
A special treat – just for me!

And so Harvey was taken in the car
To a man who was dressed in white
But the trip wasn’t what he had hoped
Harvey was in for a fright.

The man got a great big needle
And pointed it Harvey’s way
Harvey tried to back off the table
But his humans just got in the way.

"It’s for your own good"
The man in white said to the Cat
And he stuck the needle in Harvey’s bum
It was as quick and as painless as that.

And they took Harvey home and gave him a treat
"For being so good" they said
And he sat down slowly on his tingling bum
And wondered what went on in their head.

So Harvey sat there and licked the spot
And gave his humans a dirty stare
Next time they mentioned the Vee-Eee-Tee
He’d remember what had happened there.
