GALLERY '98: Picture Forty-Nine

Andrew having a close encounter with the penguins at the Bird Park on Guernsey. It was a freezing cold day and the penguins were probably the only animals around who were particularly happy - the vultures across the way were looking highly miserable (although vultures do have that tendency, of course!).

Another reason for penguinous happiness was probably the impending arrival of a keeper with a lot of fish!

The day was 6th May 1998 and this is a timer shot (with the camera balancing a little precariously on the edge of the penguin pool!).
