Frozen in the Fens

Andrew and his parents went for a weekend trip to the Fens of northern Cambridgeshire on a sunny but cold two days in November 1998.

Here is Andrew near the mouth of the River Nene where it flows into The Wash. The wind was blowing in off the North Sea fiercely and although you could walk right up to the river mouth it was too bloody cold for that - a bit of filming and a few photos and it was back to the warmth of the car!

The day was 28th November 1998 and this picture was taken by Andrew's Mum.
