GALLERY '98: Picture Six

The Heart of Europe

In August 1998 Andrew travelled to the heart of the European Union, Luxembourg, to see Ringo Starr in concert.  The concert itself was cancelled at the last minute, but it enabled Andrew to properly explore the surprisingly picturesque city of Luxembourg-Ville, and to take a trip to Clervaux at the northern end of the Grand-Duchy.

In many ways this marked the beginning of Andrew's post-Castles exploration of the European continent, even thought there were still a couple of months of Castles to go.

This picture was taken by some German or another on Andrew's first day in Luxembourg, 15th August 1998.
