GALLERY '97: Picture Twelve

The Middle of Nowhere

Here's Roy and Andrew at the end of a long and hot walk to the site of Cow Castle  (no, honestly that's what it's called) in middle of Exmoor in Somerset.  It was one of the hottest days of the year and they had just walked about two miles to get to the Castle site (and found only a vague earthwork, typically!).  From here they faced the long walk back.  Needless to say the first thing they sought out when back to the car was liquid refreshment!

The day was 9th August 1997 and the picture is a timer shot.
