Caban Coch

Andrew in the heart of Wales on the footpath overlooking the Caban Coch Reservoir and dam in the Elan Valley, west of Rhayader.  It is a long drive through the hills to get to the series of reservoirs, but it is worth it for some of the most stunning views in Wales - and unlike Snowdonia or more popular destinations there is scarcely another soul around.

This picture, which was a timer shot, was taken on 26th April 1997.
