GALLERY '96: Picture Seven

Bradgate

In May 1996 Andrew went to Leicester to see Clannad in Concert. Whilst there he spent a couple of days travelling around the sights, including Bosworth Battlefield and, for him, a pilgrimage of sorts to Bradgate Park.  Andrew has, for some years, been interested in the life of Lady Jane Grey and it was at Bradgate that she lived most of her short life, in the very house Andrew is standing in front of in this picture.

One of Andrew's favourite books "The Rainbow Gate" by Freda Warrington is also set in Bradgate Park.

The day of his visit was 11th May 1996 and this picture is a timer shot.
