GALLERY '96: Picture Four

I See No Ships

Roy and Andrew on the deck of the M.S. Oldenburg on their way to Lundy Island in the Bristol Channel (to see Marisco Castle).

Roy was trying to spot Basking Sharks, which he didn't manage to do. However, an air-sea rescue did start to happen around us, which was quite exciting.  Then when the Oldenburg arrived at Lundy we all had to disembark via inflatable dinghys to get to the mainland, which was also quite exciting!

We were very lucky in that we had wonderful weather whilst on Lundy.  See also pictures Eleven and Eighteen.

The day was 6th July 1996 and this picture was taken by a fellow passenger.
