GALLERY '96: Picture One

In The Trough Of Bowland

One of the remotest Castles Andrew and Roy visited was Langden Castle, which turned out to be little more than a cowshed, deep in the so-called Forest of Bowland (a large expanse of completely tree-less moorland in Lancashire).

This is a picture of Andrew part of the way on the long long walk from the nearest road to the Castle.  Naturally it rained.

The day was 26th May 1996 and the picture was taken by Roy.
