Giant Stone Snail?

On 17th July 1994 Andrew and Roy finally arrived in Cornwall on their Castle hunting trip. They only visited a couple of Castles, but one of them was Launceston Castle - one of Cornwall's most interesting and certainly most unusual Castles.

It always reminds them of a giant stone snail, curling up as it does in smaller and smaller circles on the motte.  This picture was taken by Andrew.
