GALLERY '93: Picture Two

At the Top of the World

Here's Roy at the summit of Ros Castle, a Hillfort in Northumberland. Incredible views can be had from up there - both the east and west coasts of England(!), Newcastle-upon-Tyne some 30+ miles to the south and (just about visible to Roy's right in this picture) the island of Lindisfarne.

The day was 4th July 1993 and the picture was taken by Andrew. It was their main Castle trip to Northumberland, one of the best trips of the whole Project.
