Fog On The Tyne

Here's Andrew standing at the top of the Castle Keep in Newcastle-upon-Tyne on 25th May 1992 as photographed by Roy, standing on one of the corner turrets.  It shows how deeply buried in the urban landscape this remarkable medieval survival is!

On the very left hand edge of the picture in the background can be seen part of the famous "coathanger" bridge which Sydney Harbour Bridge was based upon.

The picture was taken by Roy.
