Andrew and his Greatest Fan

In 1990 the National Garden Festival hit Gateshead and Andrew and Roy stopped off on their Grand Tour to have a look around.  It was actually not the most invigorating of days, but this photo of Andrew by a gargantuan turbine thing turned out very well indeed.

The day was 23rd July 1990 and Roy took the picture.  The day got better later when we had our first glimpse of the mighty Hadrian's Wall (see Pictures Eight and Eighteen).
