GALLERY '89: Picture Sixty

Nearly the End (version 2)

At the end of a long and successful afternoon (see Pictures Ten, Twenty-Two, Thirty-Seven, Fifty-Three, Fifty-Five and Fifty-Nine) this picture was taken.  The day was 29th May 1989 - it turned out to be a very important date for the Raving Loony Team and the end of an era.

Roy having disappeared from the scene for six months in 1998 it was now Shaun's turn - but his absence was for longer.  It would be another two years before all three Raving Loonys got together again.  Even then, there wouldn't be another photo session of this kind until 27th February 2000, eleven years later (see Picture Two, Millennium Gallery).  Strangely enough one of the places we headed to was this very spot, perhaps some subconscious need to start again where we left off? (see Picture Fifty-Seven, Millennium Gallery)

This picture is the end of the photographic days of Raving Loony Productions as a three man unit.  A few years after this picture Shaun married Alison, and a couple of years afterwards Roy met Tammy.  In September 1991 Andrew and Roy began their Castles of England project.

Things would never be the same again.

This photo closes the 1989 Gallery.
