GALLERY '87: Picture Eight

Goodness Gracious - Great Hats of Fire!!!

A really remarkable picture taken by Shaun in Andrew's back garden (note lack of fence after The Great Storm of 1987).  It was done by Andrew holding the torch under his hat and having a long exposure on the camera - then firing off the flash by hand to highlight the details.

We tried several similar effects, but not often with the startling success of this picture, which was taken on 30th November 1987.
