GALLERY 2001 : Picture Ninety
Andrew caught by the would-be Pretorian Guard outside the Colloseum in Rome. He was quickly grabbed, had a helmet plonked on his head and photographed and relieved of 20,000 Lire before he ever realised what day of the week it was! The good people of Roman are very well practised in the art of fleecing the tourist!
Still the pictures they took were excellent, so it was worth it. The day was 10th December 2001 and Andrew had been in Rome about two hours.
Other photos from Andrew's trip to Rome and the Vatican can be found at Pictures Seven, Twelve, Twenty-five, Twenty-eight, Thirty-one, Thirty-five, Forty-three, Forty-seven, Fifty-nine, Sixty-two, Sixty-nine and Eighty.
