GALLERY 2001 : Picture Sixty-Four
During his trip to the Balkans Andrew travelled twice into Bosnia and Hercegovina. Here he is in the village of Pocitelj which was badly damaged by Croat forces during the War in 1992. The Mosque was blown up and the roof knocked in and numerous other buildings were destroyed. The village occupants were rounded up and taken away.
Since then the village has been re-occupied, although the Mosque still remains to be rebuilt.
On the hill behind Andrew can be seen Pocitelj Castle.
