GALLERY 2001 : Picture Twenty-Nine

No Bridge Left To Visit

Andrew at the top of the Old Town in Mostar, Bosnia and Hercegovina. In the background is the gap left by the Old Bridge which was destroyed by shelling in 1993. Construction work is now underway to rebuild it from the rubble retrieved from the River.

Mostar was a truly fascinating, if not altogether happy, place to visit. The picture was taken by Janie on 19th July 2001.
