CASTLES OF CARDIGANSHIRE
At present we haven't visited any Castles in this county
Cardiganshire, now part of Dyfed, is dominated by the wide sweep of Cardigan Bay, the largest Bay in Britain. Almost all of the occupation is along the coast, with the wild hills inland forming a natural barrier making this area difficult to reach even today.
The areas remoteness has meant it needed very few Castles. Only two towns of any great size exist in the county, Cardigan and Aberystwyth.
